  1. What is holistic health coaching?

Holistic health coaching at its root  is a therapeutic partnership - a collaborative relationship between coach and client with mutual respect and shared decision making. At Wise Roots, we look beyond symptoms to identify root causes and support lasting, meaningful change. We walk with you through nutrition, lifestyle, detoxification, mindset, and environmental factors to support your overall wellness.

2. What types of clients do you work with?

We primarily work with individuals and families who are ready to take a proactive, foundational approach to their health. Whether you're just starting your wellness journey or looking to deepen your understanding supporting your your body through functional health, we’re here to support you.

3. How is your approach different from traditional medicine?

While traditional medicine often focuses on symptom management, we believe true healing comes from addressing the root cause of dysfunction. Our approach blends holistic principles with evidence-based strategies to help you make sustainable changes. We also value the strengths of both conventional and alternative models and work to bridge the gap between them.

4. What certifications do your coaches hold?

Brynn is a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and has completed the Gateway to Practical Homeopathy course.
Thomas is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Behavior Change Specialist. He is also currently pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Masters degree in Public Health, and continuing education through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

5. Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Wise Roots primarily offers virtual coaching sessions, which provide the flexibility to meet wherever you are—no commute, no travel time, just focused support from the comfort of your own space. Virtual coaching makes it easier to fit sessions into your busy life while still receiving the same personalized, one-on-one guidance. However, if you're local and prefer to meet in person, we can explore that option as well.

6. Do you create personalized health plans?

Yes. Every client is unique. We take time to understand your health history, goals, and lifestyle before creating a plan tailored specifically to you and/or your family’s needs. The comprehensive functional health coaching package will go over lab results, and include virtual sessions over the course of the partnership.

7. Do I need a specific health concern to work with you?

Not at all. We work with clients at all stages—whether you're navigating a health challenge, recovering from burnout, managing chronic conditions, or simply wanting to optimize your wellness and energy.

8. What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session is all about you. We’ll explore your health story, goals, and any current challenges. From there, we’ll begin to map out a step-by-step approach designed to meet you where you are and move toward where you want to be.
